Holy Moly!

55 pounds!!!! I have lost 55 pounds!! I don’t tell people this often but when I moved to Chicago I weighed 196 pounds. 200 pounds holy hell! And as of today, I weigh 141 pounds. My goal is 130, maybe 125. I am almost there!!!!!

Anonymous asked: Congrats on the weight loss! You look great! You have truly inspired me to get moving and watch my diet. :)

You are welcome :) Keep going!

I’m kicking ass - the pounds are falling off! As of yesterday, I had lost 53 pounds since July 2011. I am on a hiatus from running; instead, I walk (@ about 3.5 - 4 mph on average) 4 miles a day and count my calories.

The above pictures are from today. If you look back at previous posts, you can definitely see the weight loss.

I broke 50 pounds!

I stepped on the scale today and discovered that I had lost a total of 53 pounds and 5 pounds since the last weigh in. AMAZING. It put me in the best mood all day. This time last year I never would have thought losing fifty pounds would be possible. It’s insane how once I stopped worrying about my weight and just changed my diet/became active the pounds just fell off.

every day.

every day.

I feel the need to post this video again. But unlike before, when I posted it because I love the song, it has meaning now. <3

Let’s travel through time, shall we? Here are pictures from 2006 to 2012 - my weight over six years. The reason for this trip is because today I lost another two pounds in the past two weeks. I need to periodically look at these pictures so that I can stay motivated (all though I currently have some wonderful people in my life who are pushing me to succeed and reach my goals. I have about 18 more pounds to lose before I reach my goal weight. When I get there, I am going to re-evaluate. I’ve made so much progress, though. Already my stomach is flatter, there is hardly any fat around my hips, my calves are toning up. And that’s just looks-wise. I have barely gotten sick, I have more energy, I am happier… :)

This an image from today when I tried on clothes at Target. The sweater was baggy (XL) but didn’t try on a L, which would have fit better.

The point of this post is to deliver a big FUCK YOU to American Apparel. I used their size chart for shirts on skreened.com (they only print on AA shirts).

According to their chart, my bust is a L (I can see that) but my waist is a 3XL. Um no. I am not a 3XL in shirts. No damn way. I buy men’s tee shirts from stores all the time and at my heaviest I have only been an XL.

Why does AA have to run so damn small?!

Today I weighed myself.

I had made a few steps backward lately. I stopped running because we had this redonkulous heat wave that made dark nights feel like 90 degrees. I ingested a lot of carbs, too.

I tried to substitute different exercises like Zumba, jumping jacks, and crunches.

Then today I had 2 sodas and a some cake. Kill me.

I bought a scale. I weighed myself. I’m down 26 lbs since the end of May! 46 lbs in the past 17 months!

That gave me the motivation I needed. Plus fitting into the dress in the picture. Tonight I ran again.

I now have about 20 more pounds to go and I’ll be at my ideal weight. I want a flat tummy and tones arms, too.

Yay!
